DTV Transition
As you may have heard, all full
power television stations will stop broadcasting
in analog and switch over to all-digital
transmissions at midnight on February 17, 2009,
as required by federal law. This transition has
been named the "DTV transition" by the
government.
Analog-only TV's that receive those stations via
antenna won't display them after February 17,
2009 unless you take action (those TV's should
continue to display low-power, Class-A and
translator TV stations and work with gaming
consoles, VCR's, DVD players, etc.).
Here
are two easy options to help you through this
transition:
Option One:
There is no
need to buy a new TV or converter box.
Contact Lycom Communications at (606) 638-3600
to have your current TV's connected to cable.
Call today to ask about our special offers.
Option Two:
Replace those TV's or buy
converter boxes that will allow them to display
DTV signals. The NTIA will provide up to two $40
coupons per household for the purchase of such
boxes. To obtain your coupons visit
